About Thailand's Notarial Services Attorney System
Corporate Document Certification by Notarial Services Attorney is governed by the Lawyers Council of Thailand under regulations first issued in 2003 and updated in 2008. Only attorneys who have completed the Notarial Services Attorney training course and obtained a separate license may perform notarial acts in Thailand.
Unlike the United States, Thailand does not have a separate "Notary Public" profession. The notarial role is reserved for licensed lawyers, which provides a higher standard of legal review for every document signed.
